Description

What would you do for the greater good?

The Traveller is a Steampunk adventure comic about Iosef, a poor shepherd from Georgia at the turn of the 19th century.

Lonely and depressed, with only diseased sheep to his name, Iosef decides to end his life. Before he can pull the trigger, though, an otherworldly traveller appears before him. In a panic, Iosef shoots and kills him.

Searching through the visitor’s posessions, Iosef accidentally puts on a gauntlet that clamps to his arm, binding to him. In a panic, he accidentally activates the gauntlet and is pulled into a parallel world.

In exploring many worlds, he tries to find somewhere that he can be happy and find his true calling – but the results aren’t what anyone would expect.

WRITER

The Traveller was written by Neil Gibson, founder and CEO of TPub comics. He acts as a coach to help other creators’ comics be as good as they can be and loves collaborating with other writers and artists. He is very passionate about the comic book medium and believes it is one of the most efficient ways to communicate concepts.

Made using cutting-edge 3D modelling software Poser, combined with traditional hand inking, The Traveller has a feel and style that won’t easily be replicated.

The book was illustrated by Tasos Anastasiades, an Assistant Professor at the European University of Cyprus. In 2004, he published “Plastic Comics”, Cyprus’s first comic series, and has been active in the industry ever since.

The comic was coloured by Jan Wijngaard (Twisted Dark, Max Steel, Thea trics) and lettered by Hass Otsmane-Olhaou (Red Sonja, Lone Ranger, Shanghai Red).

  1. Steve McIntosh

It draws you in. Has you pondering and really connects you with Ioseb (main character) right from the start. Really easy reading and in true TPub style, you don’t know what’s going to happen next and you can’t put the comic down until you find out.. and then before you know it, you get to the back cover! Brilliant

  2. Kenny

Read through in one sitting and really enjoyed this. Easy reading and a really enjoyable ending. I can’t wait for the next issue to come out

  3. Laura

I’m not a ‘steam punk’ fan, but this wasn’t what I expected. The story and art would have been enough for me to give it 5 stars, but the last page guaranteed it! I’m sure others guessed but I didn’t see it coming.
