It was supposed to be an ordinary day at work for Paul. But after grabbing a coffee and checking his emails he clicks on the radio and… The next thing he remembers he’s standing in the middle of his office with his friends and colleagues lying dead around him and he’s holding a gun. He does the only thing that makes sense.

He runs for it.

It started with numbers

A bizarre radio transmission broadcasting endless repeating numbers. British SIS forces thought it was just a simple cryptology op, they even came up with a cute name for it – The Numbers Station.

That was, until people started dying.

Follow Charlie, an SIS agent, and Sasha, a codebreaker as they try to figure out what exactly The Numbers Station is, and more importantly – how to shut it down.

If you’re a fan of espionage or spy stories like Velvet, Injection, Queen and Country, or any spy fiction in general, we think you’ll find a lot to like here.

TRANSMISSIONS is a four-issue miniseries with the trade available for pre-order on Kickstarter in September 2019. The full volume will be available in stores 2020.

Transmissions was written and lettered by the multi-talented Jed McPherson, an indie comic writer from the UK best known for Jacob, Deadbeat, and his most recent miniseries The Show. This is the first of hopefully many TPub collaborations, as he’s the first external writer to be hired to write for Twisted Dark. Jed is certainly a writer to watch.

Jed was joined on this project by an incredibly talented creative team. It’s been illustrated by Marco Perugini, who’s done a stunning job, with colours by Shannon Bennion, and was edited and produced by Neil Gibson (TPub CEO).

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the fact that the lettering was not only done by the author, but that each balloon was drawn by hand. If that’s not dedication to your craft, I don’t know what is!
